Baja Jerky

I developed the identity and branding for an Imperial Valley jerky company capturing the feel and energy of Baja Mexico. Since the market is crowded with many other jerky brands, the challenge was how to make it stand out. I went with bright colors that you don’t usually see in this category as well as the illustrated “cool” cow that changes per flavor. All the elements came together for a young, hip and active brand. We also hightlight different activites on the back denoting the high protien content in the products.

The client wanted a more fun way to give the product a mascot and also give a nod to his surfing background. Custom illustration done that gives that distinction and changes color with each flavor.

Family of flavors

Meant to be a very colorful family. Wanted to keep it fun with unique flavors and colors. Geared more for the younger set with the back of the bags speaking to the active outdoor lifestyle.
